‘The Family’ was a favorite band of mine growing up, despite only releasing one album in the 80’s. The one album however, featured the original version of “Nothing Compares 2 U”, writing and production by Prince, orchestration by the incredible and irreplaceable Clare Fischer, gutbucket be-bop lines by the one and only Eric Leeds and so much more.
Their new album “Gaslight” features contributions from Wendy and Lisa, Doyle Bramhall II and others.
In creating a site for the band, the goal was to give them access to updating, news, events and photos while providing a style that fit the level of the music and highlighted the amazing photography by HDS friend and collaborator Steve Parke.
