Day 11 | 5 thoughts on Purple Rain (the movie)

1. The opening montage up through Let’s Go Crazy and Prince meeting Apollonia is perfect.

2. Wendy’s “you should know by now that we wouldn’t hurt you” scene is possibly my all time favorite scene from a movie.

3. I saw it multiple times in the theater during its release, and have seen it on the big screen a few more times in recent years.

4. There should be a comprehensive soundtrack release that includes all of the album tracks, b-sides and Jungle Love, The Bird, Sex Shooter and Modernaire.

5. It cracks me up that the script has the band happy that they only perform one song a night. Yeah, right.
